Calera Capital Appoints Michael O'Brien as Managing Director and Head of Business Development

BOSTON, May 11, 2026-- Calera Capital (“Calera”), a leading middle-market private equity firm, today announced the appointment of Michael W. O'Brien as Managing Director and Head of Business Development. In this role, Mr. O'Brien will leverage his 15-plus years of direct private equity experience, extensive network, and origination capabilities to build on Calera’s existing strong deal generation capabilities.

Mr. O'Brien joins Calera from Valspring Capital, where he served as Managing Director and Head of Business Development. Prior to that, he held senior business development roles at AVALT and New Heritage Capital.
