Veritas Capital Closes New Fund with $1.225 Billion of Capital Commitments, Significantly Exceeding Its Original $950 Million Target

NEW YORK, July 21, 2010-- Veritas Capital said today that it held the final closing of The Veritas Capital Fund IV effective July 8, 2010, with $1.225 billion of capital commitments, significantly exceeding its original target of $950 million.

Veritas Capital is a leading private equity firm focused on the government services market. Its performance ranks in the top 10% of private equity firms. Included in Veritas' track record, spanning over 18 years, is its recent sale of DynCorp International to a private equity firm for $1.5 billion. The transaction was described by The Deal as one of the private equity "Deals of the Year." Veritas has also successfully exited from investments in Integrated Defense Technologies, Vertex Aerospace, HITCO Technologies and Athena Innovative Solutions. Its current portfolio includes Aeroflex, a provider of highly specialized micro-electronic and testing equipment to aerospace and communications markets, Vangent, a provider of information management and business processing services to U.S. civilian agencies, and Global Tel-Link, a provider of telecomm software and technology products to the corrections industry.

Robert B. McKeon, Chairman and Managing Partner of Veritas Capital, said, "We are very pleased to have exceeded our target fund size so impressively during the most challenging fund raising environment of the last 20 years. The strong investor support for our new fund is based upon our track record, which is the result of a focused and hands-on approach to value creation.”

“Veritas will continue to work closely with the management teams of the companies in which we have invested to achieve successful returns for our investors,” Mr. McKeon continued. “The Veritas Capital team is very excited about the opportunities we see for our new fund. We will continue our disciplined focus in areas of our core competency. We already have identified several interesting new potential investments that we hope to complete in the coming months.”
